Grieg worldwide
The Grieg-Begegnungsstätte in Leipzig is just one part of an international network of Grieg societies, museums and enthusiasts.
Deutsch-Norwegische Freundschaftsgesellschaft
With over 1,000 members, the DNF is the largest association in Germany cultivating German-Norwegian relations. Annual meetings, lecture evenings, language courses and much more connect the members spread across the whole of Germany. Our rooms at Talstrasse 10 have already hosted many a joint project.
Deutsche Edvard-Grieg-Gesellschaft
The German Edvard Grieg Society was founded in 1995 at the University of Münster, initiated by Grieg scholar and organist Prof. Joachim Dorfmüller. To this day, the association continues under the leadership of its founding president. The flagship of the DEGG is the annual Grieg Festival in Münster.
Edvard Grieg Museum Troldhaugen (Norwegen)
The Edvard Grieg Museum Troldhaugen is located in the former home of Edvard and Nina Grieg. Alongside the villa itself, the Troldsalen chamber music hall is among the museum's attractions. Concerts of Grieg's works are regularly performed here.
Internationale Edvard-Grieg-Gesellschaft
The International Grieg Society is the umbrella organisation of all Grieg societies worldwide. Every two years it hosts an international conference. Museum staff member Christoph Siems has been a deputy member of the IGS board since 2019.
